Welcome to www.tnjed.net, the Official Website of singer/songwriter/guitarist, "Tennessee Jed" Fisher! Thank you for taking the time to visit my new website! Sorry for being absent for awhile. I've been going through some pretty big changes since the release of Pimpgrass and my ensuing first Merlefest performance. I moved to the mountains of western NC to be with the love of my life, and made a go of things with a full band that featured members of my friends in Urban Soil. The band and I have since parted ways, but I wish Eric, Greg, and Jonathan nothing but the best in their future musical endeavors. I'm still working with bass player, Matt Grady, and just recently started picking with Avery County mandolinist, Blake Vance. I am really looking forward to making music with these guys in the near future, in addition to doing the solo thing.
So for the big news- I got married in August! I took a bit of an extended break from the music stuff for our honeymoon adventure out west to N. California and back, and I've since had to make some adjustments to my plans, both personal and professional. But I will be back on the road soon, with plans for the release of a solo acoustic EP I recorded in the Arizona desert using solar power. I'm also currently writing songs and making plans for the next studio recording with banjo phenom, Scott Vestal. More news soon.
Thanks to everyone that has supported and contributed to my career making music so far. I hope you will continue to do so in the future. See you at the next show!

A soul-shaking singer with thoughtful, often humorous lyrics and the acoustic guitar chops to back them up, “Tennessee Jed” Fisher blends multiple genres into his own unique Americana/Newgrass sound. Jed has been traveling the US with his solar powered PA, ready to play anytime, anywhere.
Jed has recorded with a who’s who list of cutting edge pickers and singers including multiple Grammy winners and nominees, as well as members and alum of Steep Canyon Rangers, Sam Bush Band, Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder, Infamous Stringdusters, Ben Folds Five, Leftover Salmon, Che Apalache, Dailey & Vincent, Mountain Heart, Town Mountain, Songs From the Road Band, Jon Stickley Trio, and The Waybacks. His music has been featured in the TV shows, Duck Dynasty and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Wake Up Call.
Originally from Tennessee, Jed now makes his home in the western NC mountains, drawing inspiration from the local scenery and musical heritage. Having already released three full-length albums and one EP, Jed plans to reveal an album of solo acoustic material recorded in the Arizona desert using solar power called The Soular Sessions later this year.
